Mayor Beng Climaco on Monday assured the safety and well-being of all humanitarian aid workers contributing to the humanitarian response in the city. “We in the City of Zamboanga would like to assure the protection of all aid workers who are here now,” said Climaco. The mayor issued this statement in light of the beheading of aid worker David Haines in Syria.
