Liberal Party (LP) vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo said she’s willing and ready to work with Davao City Mayor and presidential bet Rodrigo Duterte if they both win in the May 9 elections.
“Sakali pong manalo ako bilang vice president, handa po ako na suportahan at makatrabaho kahit sino ang maging pangulo. Ito ay bahagi ng tungkidin bilang pangalawang pangulo,” Robredo said.
Robredo is also confident that she will be given the government’s anti-poverty cam¬paign portfolio.
Recently, Robredo and Assistant for Mindanao in the late 1990s and also served as Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process and Press Secre¬tary in Malacanang.
Robredo garnered 30 per¬cent, four percent higher than her previous rating in the survey taken last April 19-24. Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. slipped three points to 28 percent,
Robredo led Visayas with 42 percent and shared statistical leads in Mindanao with Marcos and Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
Duterte, for his part, kept his 33 percent rating for a Ramos said his decision then was a necessary step to “heal a divided nation.”
He added that Duterte’s early efforts to unite the nation is a “right move” and must be wel-comed instead of being criticized and condemned.

Robredo tallied 26 percent to lead the latest SWS poll con¬ducted from April 18 to 20 with 1,800 respondents while Marcos Jr. was one point behind.
The lawmaker from the 3rd District of Camarines Sur also topped the Bilang Pilipino April 13 and 14 SWS Mobile Survey Report and the SWS post-debate mobile survey last April 17.

A lawyer for the poor, Robredo provided free legal aid to the marginalized sectors of society, including farmers, fish¬ermen and abused women for a long time before becoming a law-maker.
