Mom killed, daughter hurt in ZS lynching PDF Print E-mail

A woman was killed while her daughter was wounded when three persons lynched them in Barangay Banganian, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur Monday night.

The fatality was identified as Carmelina Vargas Y Maghinay, a housewife. Injured was Jean Vargas Y Maghinay, 17, a student.

A police report disclosed that the victims were mauled by Jose Albia Y Pabarian, 48, married, a fisherman; Natividad Albia Y Flores, 44, married, a housewife and a certain Joemar Albia Y Flores 24, a fisherman — all residents of the same place.

Carmelina sustained multiple injuries in the head, face and back of her body. Her daughter suffered contusions and human bite on her back and now under medication.

The suspects were arrested during a follow-up operation and were detained pending the filing of charges in court.— Dan Toribio Jr.
