The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Zamboanga District Office has reported a deficit of P59-million due to the non-importation by some big companies in the city.

BOC Zamboanga District Office Officer in Charge Darwisa J. Schuck identified the companies as Mega Plywood, Pryce Gas, Petron liquefied Petroleum gas and a company importing cement.

“This is now the reality  at the Zamboanga City District Collection Office,” said Schuck.

Schuck said that the office initially received a target collection of P234-million.

The figure however was increased to P308-million by Commissioner Isidro Lapeña based on a revised order.  (Allen Abastillas)
