A city councilor has lamented the sorry state of Paseo del Mar, once hailed as a tourist attraction under the previous administration.

In his speech, Councilor BG Guingona cited what he believes is a lack of security and a park where some areas have not been well-maintained.

Guingona proposed the conduct of a dialogue to address the issues he mentioned in the speech.

The proposal, however, was slammed by members of the majority in the City Council who voted to refer the matter to a committee.

Councilors who voted in favor of a dialogue include  councilors Rodolfo Lim, Joselito Macrohon, and Guingona.

Local legislators who voted against the dialogue are Councilors Josephine Pareja, Al Jihan Rebollos Edding, Juan Climaco Elago, Elbert Atilano, and Rommel Agan.

Councilors Rodolfo Bayot and Cesar Jimenez abstained.

The matter was referred to the Committees on Tourism and Resolutions and Ordinances. (RGAAGo)
