Two persons were injured  while nineteen (19) structures were razed during two separate conflagrations over the past two days in Zamboanga City.

The victims were identified as Arman H. Alih, 29; and Shaina Mae P. Majid.

Both suffered second- degree burns during a fire incident which transpired at Purok 11, Pitogo, Sinunuc at 3:10 a.m. yesterday.

The fire reportedly started at the residence of a certain Benjar Masjid.  The blaze quickly spread to adjoining houses, ten of which were razed.

The fire was reportedly caused by an unattended candle.  Estimated damage to property amounted to P250,000.

Meanwhile, another fire incident gutted nine (9) residential bunkhouses inside the UNICO Compound in Barangay Kasanyangan at 6:40 p.m last Wednesday.

No one was reported hurt during the incident.
