Three teen-agers were arrested by police after robbing and threatening to burn a gasoline station in Siocon Municipality, Zamboanga del Norte last Monday.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer, said that the three minors were attendants working at the gas station of Emelita P. Visitacion, a Siocon-based businesswoman.

Last Monday afternoon, Visitacion noticed that some of her personal items and the grocery items in her store were missing and pointed to two of her gasoline attendants as the culprits.

When Visitacion tried to fire the two workers, the latter threatened to burn the gasoline station.

The following day, Visitacion asked for police assistance after spotting the minors within the vicinity of her gasoline station.

Police conducted pursuit operations and arrested Al-Gamar Bantala y Alad-Ad, 15 years old.

A follow-up operation also led to the arrest of Christian Jay Neri and Saddam Ummal, both 15 years old.

The three reportedly admitted robbing the store and selling the items.  The minors were later turned over to social workers for proper disposition.  (Remus Ong)
