The number of individuals who have filed their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for the 2019 elections has decreased  compared to 2016, based on figures released by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

A total of 76 persons filed their Certificates of Candidacy for various positions for the duration of the filing of COCs, based on Comelec figures.

On the other hand, a total of 98 persons have filed their COCs for various positions during the 2016 elections.
