Thirty four young people will sit as government officials in line with a program lauched by the Rotary Club Youth to mold the youth as future leaders.

Dr. Justin Paber, Rotary Club of Zamboanga President, described the participants as students from Grades 9 and 10 who have been selected from the city’s different schools.

The participants underwent a rigorous selection process which includes an examination, panel interview and were made to deliver an extemporaneous speech.

Under the program, the children will have the chance to sit together with the City Mayor, Vice-Mayor, Councilors and Department heads as their counterparts.

“These children in our city must be trained well and exposed to public service as they will be serving the city in the future,” Paber said.(Remus Ong)
